Why I have no idea, it never did that in DoW 2 when I last played a few months back. Apparently, I have to set all sound settings to minimum in game in order to run smoothly. "I think I've discovered the problem, though I'm not sure why it has such a massive impact on performance. Although the game only comes with two playable factions, its variety of units for each faction and original combat mechanics keep the game’s core gameplay fast-paced, dynamic, and interesting. Yet Dawn of War II manages to turn the RTS formula on its ear, putting you in the thick of battle. With that said, the lowest spec card that I've played it on is a old Radeon HD 4650 and for being a low end card it ran the game with little to no performance problems. Sorry but you don't really need a powerhouse PC to run Retribution unless you do any multiplayer options including campaign co op.
